Join us for an unforgettable evening with Chief Mapu of the Huni Kuin people. The night will open with a sacred blessing, as Mapu calls upon the spirits of the forest and his ancestors to guide and protect all in attendance. From there, he will lead us into the heart of his culture through song—traditional songs and chants woven with prayer, vibration, and ancient wisdom. Between each piece, Mapu will share stories carried through generations, inviting us to witness the living voice of the Amazon and the spiritual heritage of his people.

The Ancient Spanish Monastery Foundation was established in 2011 as a non-profit entity with the mission to generate funds for the preservation and maintenance of the historic buildings and gardens through a variety of art and multicultural events with community involvement. Our mission is to ensure that "the oldest building in the western hemisphere" is preserved for the enjoyment of future generations.

Guided Tour of the Sacred Monastery Grounds & Museum

The guided tour is lead by Marjorie Dean. Learn the profound history of the 900-year-old European monastery, connect to the divinity of the space, and capture beautiful photo moments among the ancient stones and cloisters.
Labyrinth Meditation
5:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Join Paola Cruz on a guided walking meditation through the labyrinth garden to release the old and welcome the new.
Personal Singing Bowl & Gong Session
5:30 PM - 6:00 PM
One-on-one sound healing and energetic attunement, with Mitchell Raisman from 1111 Gong, to clear and elevate your frequency before the ceremony.

General arrive and take their places in the Monastery's central courtyard. The sacred space opens as twilight descends.
The Ceremony Commences
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Celebrate the New Year with Miami's most powerful sound bath experience on sacred grounds. The ceremony features: breathwork with Aaron Alexander, Interactive Meditation with Paola Cruz, Gong Bath by Jennifer Denali and the 1111 Gong with guest healer Gabriela Morrell-Zucker.
